My name is Stephen and this is the Online Therapy Portal of my main website therapyglasgow.com. I have over 20 years professional experience as a psychotherapist. I offer Integrative Psychotherapy and Existential Analysis, Couples and Family Therapy, Counselling and Personal Development work, all via Video call (SKYPE, Telephone, Email and Chat depending on your needs and practicalities). I also see patients in-person at my practice in Glasgow, Scotland, in the UK
“Excellent, professional and non judgemental care. Stephen is patient, listens intently and above all he is honest and I’ve really felt like I can be truly myself in therapy sessions with him which has helped me tremendously. Highly recommended.” ~ review by N.K. (in-person and SKYPE work)
Skype is a software application that offers free, encrypted Video calls, telephone and chat from anywhere in the world (see SKYPE links for tutorials etc). This can be particularly useful for:
- Therapy in the comfort of your own home
- Support during breaks from therapy
- Help if you are unable to leave the house e.g. due to illness or infirmity
- Avoiding breaks in therapy whilst travelling or on holiday
- Help if you live too far away from Glasgow
- Help if you live outside Scotland
- Help for couples and families who live apart and who can’t do face-to-face work
“Wonderful and caring. Stephen has transformed my life! I found his approach so professional – I felt cared for, listened to and cherished – seen as an individual with individual requirements. Stephen is a true credit to his profession and this world. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this guy – he knows what he’s doing that’s for sure.” ~ Review by J.L. (in-person work)

“2020 was my year of freedom, empowerment, and independence because of the work I did on myself here in South Florida with the help of Stephen and his virtual practice all the way in Glasgow, Scotland. I have never met him in person, but his impact on my life and the life of my children as a result has been so monumental.” ~ review by Shanique (Online Therapy and Supplementary Support)
“I came to Stephen with some ambivalence towards therapy because I found it hard to believe that my old, engrained beliefs and habits could be shifted; In fact, I’d almost given up hope that I could feel better. But during our first meeting I felt I could work with him and soon, I was doing some challenging and daunting work. In a matter of a few months, I learned more about myself than in the previous years of therapy and as well as this new self-knowledge, I have achieved a level of self-acceptance that I never thought possible. Stephen has provided me with a model and a set of skills I can apply to define and address my needs, increase my self-reliance, and tackle situations that once baffled me. We have incorporated my film work and creative writing into sessions to help interpret and understand my needs, and how I see the world. I have never felt as alive, and although I still meet bumps in the road, I have renewed hope, and I’m making steady progress towards some quite specific objectives. Stephen seems to strike the perfect balance between being a trusted advocate, having crystal clear boundaries, and in the midst of this close therapeutic relationship, he is always highlighting one’s own personal responsibility. He never pushes me, unless I ask him, but I always feel he’s nudging me in the directions I want to travel. I think I have grown more in the last few months, working with Stephen, than I could ever have imagined and I’m certain there’s more to come. He has helped me to find myself in the world and I’m glad to be home.” ~ testimonial by Jim B. (in-person and Online Therapy)
